Beachy Hair Waves: How I Achieved It

Beachy Hair Waves: How I Achieved It

Summer is here, and it is finally time to sport the amazing bouncy beach waves on your hair. I personally love this trend, and I wear it even when it’s not summertime. I have naturally curly hair, and it can get pretty unruly if I do not use the right products and don’t keep up with it every now and then.

First of all, I make sure that my hair is properly nourished and moisturized to a T. Your hair won’t behave and do what you want it to do if it is super dry and coarse, which is why it is important to moisturize before doing anything else to it.

I personally love and use Kedma Philippines’ Mineral Hair Mask, as it gives me enough moisture and keeps my curls alive. It is enriched with Jojoba oil and Dead Sea salt, which makes my hair shiny and bouncy with minimal effort.

What This Mineral Hair Mask Can Do

I love that this product has antioxidant Vitamin A in it, which is a must since my hair has to go through UV damage almost every single day. I also use a hair straightener to keep my fringe straight, which can be quite damaging to my hair. Add the dyeing process to my hair every three months or so, and I’ve got myself a killer combo when it comes to my hair.

With this product, my hair stays soft and moisturized all the time. I am not kidding when I say that my curls become totally manageable and healthy whenever I use this product, and I can easily finger-comb it without any difficulties! I use the mask one to two times a week, making sure to massage it all over my hair and scalp for about 10 minutes to really get it in there. I soak it for another 20 minutes to let the mask seep in every single hair strand.

Going the DIY Route

Another product that I use for my beachy waves is a DIY one. Sure, there are hundreds of sea salt sprays that you can buy, but I actually find this one to be my favorite one. Not only is it way cheaper, but it is also easy to make. I simply take a cup of warm water, put at least two tablespoons of sea salt in it, add a splash of coconut oil, then I stir it well. I then grab a spray bottle and voila — my very own sea salt spray! I just spritz this all over my moisturized hair then I scrunch it up to make sure that my curls look alive and amazing.

Achieving beachy waves don’t have to be hard. As long as you have the right products in tow, you are good to go. Just remember to protect your hair from the sun and use a sunscreen that’s meant for the hair so you can always achieve those bouncy waves that you have always dreamt of. Also, moisturizing is key to healthy hair so never forget that, too.
